Education & academic background
Dr Theodosios V. Tsinas graduated from the School of Medicine of the Democritus University of Thrace, where he received comprehensive theoretical and clinical medical training.
After obtaining his licence to practise medicine in Greece and Germany, he began specialist training in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology at Knappschaftskrankenhaus Recklinghausen, a university-affiliated hospital of Ruhr University Bochum. He subsequently continued his training at Philippusstift and Marienhospital Essen.
His training covered the full spectrum of Diagnostic Radiology, including conventional radiography, ultrasonography, Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), angiography and interventional techniques, alongside on-call services in general radiology and neuroradiology.
After qualifying as a specialist in General Radiology through the Medical Association of North Rhine, Düsseldorf, he completed structured subspecialty training in Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology at specialised German centres, including Evangelisches Klinikum Niederrhein and Klinikum Bremen-Mitte.

Dr Tsinas regularly participates in international conferences and specialised neuroradiology workshops, maintaining continuous professional development in emerging imaging technologies and endovascular treatment strategies.
Since 2024, he has held the Stroke Module E certification of the German Society for Neuroradiology (DGNR) for the treatment of acute ischaemic stroke.

Current position
Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus
Since October 2024, Dr Theodosios V. Tsinas has served as an Exclusive Consultant Physician at the Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus. He serves as Lead Physician and Director of the Department of Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology, contributing to comprehensive advanced diagnostic imaging and endovascular treatment services.

International congresses
International exchange. Practical education.
Dr Theodosios Tsinas maintains an active presence at international neuroradiology and stroke meetings across Europe. His congress activity includes events in Germany, Great Britain, Greece and Cyprus, where he contributes as an invited speaker and workshop instructor.
His lectures focus on acute ischaemic stroke, advanced neurovascular imaging, mechanical thrombectomy, carotid and intracranial stenting, and the endovascular treatment of cerebral aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations. Clinical cases connect imaging findings with treatment strategy and multidisciplinary decision-making.
During hands-on workshops, he teaches endovascular planning, catheter and device handling, simulation-based thrombectomy techniques and complication-aware procedural strategy. These meetings encourage continuous exchange with international colleagues and help translate current evidence and technology into everyday patient care.
